The Armadale Reptile Centre was opened to the public in 1995 by Klaas and Meike Gaikhorst who over the last 30 years have seen many reptiles needlessly killed due to lack of knowledge and understanding of these creatures. Here on the site we hope to further public perception of this problem with the use of our interactive online video tours.

Many of these animals are here due to injury, illness or from living too close to populated areas. Whilst some of them retain permanent injuries and cannot be returned to the wild, as many as possible are.

On this site you will have the opportunity to take a video tour journey through the Reptile Park by viewing a series of short online video presentations that will give you a glimpse of some of the reptiles that live here at the Reptile Park. If you decide to join our conservation club (which is for free) you will have access to a more in depth series of video clips which will introduce you to the animals here at the Reptile Park, and if you subscribe or donate to the care and feeding of these animals you will have the opportunity to see some rarely seen ‘behind the scenes’ action and discover a world of Australian Reptiles and dedicated conservationists in action.

Some of the types of Australian Reptiles and Amphibians you will see on this site include, Crocodiles, Turtles, Monitor Lizards, Dragons, Skinks, Frogs, Snakes and Pythons. Please feel free to browse around and do the video tours on our site. We hope that whilst you are here you realize that you have the power to become part of the greater good to protect and conserve our precious environment.
